Greetings and welcome
to fredholmknitting.com the site
for
AUTHENTIC SWEDISH KNITTING.
All creations
on this site has been designed and clearly patterned by me, Inger Fredholm.
I am a
Swedish handknitting designer and the proprietor of Gunga Din in Stockholm,
a knitting boutique in which I have designed, knitted and patterned over 700
creations, written books on knitting and conducted workshops since 1968. My
creations have been published in Elle and Swedish monthly magazines Femina,
VI and others.
I participated in the KNIT-OUT2002 at Union Square Park in
NYC this past October where I demonstrated the Swedish two-handed multicolor
knitting technique typical for Fredholm Knitting (this technique is
different from Fair Isle). It will be a pleasure to pass this technique on
to you, dear readers. Thanks to IT technology, we can now invite you to join
this Swedish adventure.

cotton yarns and four different yarns of wool - all in
natural fibres.
Real Raggsock Reversible (Easy )
First,
however, I will publish and introduce an old classic wool quality,
GUNGA DIN RAGGSOCK WOOL. Originally only used for socks, I did a vest on
thick needles, published in a Swedish magazine during the 1960ties. It
became a success, and since then I have designed several items in this
quality. Here is a classical sweater for men and women, for country and
city life. There are seams only on each sides. Sew them almost invisibly
and you have a reversible sweater! It is a 4-ply yarn, available in four
shades. 75 % wool, 25% rayon. (Rayon is a regenerated fibre).
