Greetings and welcome to fredholmknitting.com the site for AUTHENTIC SWEDISH KNITTING.
- "All creations on this site has been designed and clearly patterned by me, Inger Fredholm".

INGER FREDHOLM is a well known Swedish knitting designer and knitter who has been designing  and executing her work for her numerous books and periodicals published over last 25 years throughout Scandinavia and France.
”NULLA DIES SINE MACULA FILI” (no day without a stitch) is the motto of Inger and Gunga Din!
Since the start 1968 of her shop Gunga Din in Stockholm, she herself has knitted and designed over 1500 garments as the professional knitter she is.
She has devoted her life to her craft  and has contributed to passing on the art of knitting through series of symposiums and workshops given through-out.

Inger Fredholm participated in the KNIT-OUT2002 and 2003 at Union Square Park in N.Y.C. past October and this September where she demonstrated the Swedish two-handed multicolor knitting technique typical for Fredholm Knitting (this technique is different from Fair Isle).
Review from InterweaveKnit winter 2004
"Scandinavian knitter Fredholm has assembled a folk book that reads as a knitting journal, text, photo album, and collections of patterns - all revolving around and inspired by colorful traditional Scandinavian knitwear. Patterns for garment in stranded two-color knitting and lace - including a pattern for a wonderful lacey tango dress - are shown side by side with pieces on the history of knitting in Scandinavia, wonderful photographs of knitted garments old and new, and a recipe for Very Swedish Cinnamon Buns." ... page 9
